Springsage Ritual
Naturalize, the green template for hitting an artifact or enchantment at instant speed, has been printed in dozens of variations, and this is the one that pads the deal with four life. That life is the entire reason to run it over the cleaner two-mana version: the extra two generic mana buys a buffer that matters precisely when you are racing an opponent whose artifact or enchantment is the thing pressuring your life total. The math is honest. You pay a premium of two mana for four life, which is a worse rate than a dedicated lifegain spell would offer but a perfectly reasonable surcharge when the disenchant was going to happen anyway. The instant speed is doing quiet work too: you can hold it through your opponent's turn, swing the targeting decision until they commit, and bank the life on a turn where it stabilizes rather than spending it speculatively. Green has no shortage of ways to break a problem permanent, so a card like this lives or dies on the rider, and the rider here is built for the grindy attrition matchups where two extra disenchant mana is cheap and four life is not.
