Sporecrown Thallid
Fungus tribal lives and dies on token math, and this is the lord that does the heavy lifting at the bottom of the curve. The whole Saproling archetype works by multiplying small bodies: spore counters that bud into 1/1s, sacrifice payoffs, board-wide pumps. A lone 1/1 token does not threaten much, but a board of them under an anthem becomes a real clock, and that is the role this fills, raising every Fungus and Saproling you control by a step. What separates it from a generic anthem is the breadth of what it touches. Saprolings pour out of a dozen different engines across Fungus's history, and tribal lords that stack with each other (multiple copies, or alongside other anthem effects) turn an army of chump-blockers into a lethal swing in a single turn. Excluding itself from the buff is the standard lord clause, but it means the body stays a 2/2: fragile enough that the deck wants it protected, valuable enough that removing it deflates the whole board at once. This is not the card that starts the engine; it is the one that converts a wide, already-assembled board into damage, rewarding critical mass rather than supplying it.
