Sporeback Wolf
The asymmetry here runs backwards from instinct. Most toughness-granting creatures either carry the boost permanently (a flat 2/4 body) or offer it as an activated pump you hold up on defense, when a bigger blocker actually helps. This one inverts that: it swells to a 2/4 for the whole of your own turn, then reverts to a 2/2 once the turn ends, which is exactly when a defensive stat line usually wants to be tall. A creature that stayed big through an opponent's turn would blank their combat and their small burn; this one is easier to kill on their turn than its pumped-up size on yours suggests. So the buff is not defense at all. It exists to keep an attacker alive through blocks and combat tricks during your attack step, free and constant, no mana and no card asked. Read it as a pure aggressive body: the extra two toughness comes and goes with the turn rather than with a cost, and that inversion is the quiet, deliberate wrinkle in a slot that normally just prints a static number.
