Sorcery2 generic manaGreen manaGreen mana

Green could always blow up an artifact: Crumble, Creeping Mold, and the rest gave it some of the best Naturalize-style answers in the game. What it almost never got was the privilege of salting the earth afterward, and that is the conceit here. The logic is borrowed from the late-nineties extraction spells, the ones that hunted down every copy of a card by name: Lobotomy and Eradicate worked on creatures, Sowing Salt on lands, and this applies the same search-and-exile sweep to a single artifact and everything sharing its name. The design assumes a world of artifact playsets and toolbox decks, where the threat isn't one Winter Orb but the second and third you haven't drawn yet, and it answers that pre-emptively rather than reactively. The cost is the friction: four mana at sorcery speed buys a clean, permanent answer with no recursion left over, since exile dodges the graveyard-return tricks that defined the era. What dates it is the assumption that artifacts come in playsets worth uprooting; against a one-of bomb, the wide-net clause does nothing the first line wasn't already doing. As a window into how green's color pie was drawn, though, it's instructive: green could destroy artifacts all day, but exiling one and stripping every copy behind it was a privilege the design priced at a full sorcery, not a cantrip.
