Spitemare
The damage-redirector built as a body rather than an enchantment. Earlier designs in this space (the various Stuffy Doll and Pariah-style cards) split the function across two permanents: one thing soaks the damage, another redirects it. This Boros elemental folds both jobs into a single 3/3 and adds the part those older designs lacked, which is the ability to send that damage to any target rather than reflecting it back at the source. Block a 5/5 and the attacker's controller takes five, or any creature you choose does. Point a burn spell at it and the spell's caster feels it. The 3/3 frame is what disciplines the card: it dies to most of the same removal it punishes, so the redirect is a one-shot reaction more often than a repeatable engine. Paying with either red or white at both pips lets the card sit comfortably in mono-colored shells or a blend of the two without straining a manabase. It rewards a board where the opponent has to attack into it or burn it down, and either choice routes damage exactly where you want it. A clean, contained piece of design: the redirect is genuinely flexible (any target, the full amount), but the small body keeps it from spiraling into something that demands a dedicated answer.
