Spiteful Squad
A 0/0 that arrives as a deathtouch 2/2, built so that the stats never belong to the body carrying them. The two +1/+1 counters are the real payload, and the death trigger relocates them to another creature you control, so the shell is expendable by design: you want to lose it. Deathtouch invites a favorable trade, killing something bigger before the counters graft onto a target that can do more with them, whether a counters-matter payoff or simply a better attacker. The catch is timing. Cashing in the value means giving up the Warlock, which is why the card runs cleanest next to a sacrifice outlet that lets you pick the moment instead of waiting for combat to offer one. That places it between the counters-matter and aristocrats axes: the death trigger wants an outlet, the relocated +2/+2 wants a home, and both halves need to be present for the card to pay. Left alone, it is a fragile creature asking you to plan two turns out. Surrounded by the right board, it converts one weak body into a durable, movable investment.
