Spinning Wheel Kick

SorceryX generic manaX generic manaGreen manaGreen mana

What the double-X cost buys is not more damage per hit, it is more targets: X sets how many creatures and planeswalkers your chosen attacker can point at, while the damage each one takes is locked to that creature's power. That decoupling is the whole design. Fight-style green removal has always been priced around a single trade, one creature risked against one target, and it exposes your attacker to damage swinging back. This does neither: the source never takes damage in return, and one cast repeats its power reading across every target in the pool. Pay for X=3 with a five-power creature and each of the three chosen targets takes five, so a row of small blockers dies to the same shot: the full power hits all of them at once, not a shared pool split among them. Green rarely gets to touch planeswalkers with direct damage at all, let alone several of them off a single creature, which makes this a genuinely unusual piece of reach for a color usually forced to swing through the red zone to answer the back row. The sorcery-speed restriction is the tax that keeps it fair: no ambushing attackers mid-combat, no instant-speed blowout, so the payoff is gated behind already having the power on the board before you cast. It wants a deck built around one oversized body and converts that single investment into a wide, one-shot sweep that scales with how much mana you are willing to sink.
