Tap-down effects usually rent their disruption by the turn: an attacker held back, a blocker neutralized, then the creature untaps and the problem returns. This one buys the lock outright. The enters trigger doesn't just tap an opponent's creature; it welds it down for as long as you keep the 1/4 on the board, converting a one-shot combat tempo swing into open-ended removal of an attacker, a blocker, or any creature whose value depends on untapping to attack, block, or crew. That conditional carries the whole design: the effect is only as durable as the body holding it up, so a 1/4 with flash is exactly the frame it needs. Four toughness survives most incidental burn and shrugs off small attackers; flash lets it ambush at instant speed, catching a creature already tapped from its own attack step and stranding it there before its controller ever gets a window to untap. Kill Spider-Woman and the leash snaps, which turns the card into a target-priority puzzle for both players: the defender wants her dead, and every removal spell they spend on a defensive 1/4 is a spell not spent elsewhere. It is a soft lock dressed as a value creature, and the low power keeps the whole engine contingent on protecting a fragile piece rather than a resilient one.
