Spider-Verse

Enchantment3 generic manaRed manaRed mana

Two enchantments stapled into one, sharing a theme but not a strategy. The first line is a tribal build-around: dropping the legend rule for Spiders lets a deck run multiple copies of the same legendary arachnid on the battlefield, the kind of permission that only matters once you have committed to the creature type as an axis. The second line is the loud one, and it cares nothing for spiders at all. Copying a spell cast from anywhere but your hand is a narrow window with a wide payoff, rewarding flashback, foretell, cascade, adventure casts, and any spell that launches from exile, the graveyard, or your library rather than from hand. The haste rider on permanent copies gives away the real intent: this wants to fork a creature and swing that turn, not merely double up on instants. The once-each-turn clamp is what pays for the effect. Without it, a shell engineered to cast from exile every turn would spiral out of control, so each copy is a single high-value trigger rather than a repeatable engine. It presents as a fun-first tribal frame, but the spell-copy half is where the teeth are, quietly courting any deck already structured to recast from the graveyard, from exile, or from the top of the deck.

Rules text

The "legend rule" doesn't apply to Spiders you control. Whenever you cast a spell from anywhere other than your hand, you may copy it. If you do, you may choose new targets for the copy. If the copy is a permanent spell, it gains haste. Do this only once each turn.
