Spectrox Mines

Plane — Androzani Minor

The Planechase mechanic asks each plane to do two things at once: reward whoever walks to it and threaten a random payout whenever the chaos die comes up, and this one turns both dials toward attrition. The upkeep clause is a Faustian ramp engine that runs on its own clock: three life every turn (plus the same tax the moment you arrive) in exchange for a Treasure, a repeating drain that funds you while it bleeds you, so the plane you most want to stay parked on is quietly the one running your life total down. That bleed is automatic; no die roll is involved. The chaos trigger points the other way, spinning off a Food token and a 2/2 Human Rogue to help soften the very cost the plane keeps charging. That split is the design's whole personality: a fixed toll paid every upkeep whether you like it or not, patched only when a roll no one controls hands you scavenged relief. It is themed to the mineral extraction that drives the source story, and the mechanics read the fiction faithfully: the mine gives you wealth in exchange for slow poisoning, and surviving that environment earns you rations and hired muscle. As Planechase cards go, this one carries an unusually sharp risk-reward posture, since most planes bank on upside without demanding life every upkeep as the price of admission.
