Spatial Contortion
The +3/-3 split is a removal spell dressed as a pump: a swing large enough to erase the toughness of most early creatures, offered at a rate that only a specific kind of deck can actually pay. The colorless mana symbol in the cost is the whole reason this design exists. It ties the effect to the same producers that fuel Eldrazi and other colorless-matters strategies, letting a deck run creature removal without touching a color of mana at all. That constraint is what pays for the flexibility. Because it is symmetrical (nothing stops you from targeting your own creature), the same card that kills a two-toughness attacker can also blow out a combat step by turning a chump-blocker into a lethal threat, or fizzle a bounce spell's target. It is not a clean answer: high-toughness creatures shrug it off, and the +3 side does nothing to a board you are trying to sweep. What it offers instead is an instant-speed swing of six stat-points wherever they are most useful, priced to slot into decks that generate colorless mana as a matter of course and want interaction that does not compromise their manabase.
