Sowing Salt

Sorcery2 generic manaRed manaRed mana

Land destruction usually settles for one-for-one: blow up the dual, watch them play a fresh one off the top. This goes after the whole copy set at once, exiling the targeted land and then dredging through graveyard, hand, and library to remove every other card sharing its name. The design intent is surgical hate against a single named land doing too much work: a four-of utility land, a combo enabler, a manland the opponent leans on. Against a deck whose plan routes through one specific nonbasic, this doesn't just delay it, it deletes the resource from the game and shuffles away the chance to dig back. The exile clause is doing the real work here, sidestepping recursion entirely; there is no graveyard to mine, no land to bounce back. The cost of that precision is its narrowness: it whiffs entirely on basics and reads as a dead card against any deck whose lands are interchangeable. The card asks a binary question before it can ever be cast: is one named nonbasic load-bearing enough that removing every copy collapses the plan? Where the answer is yes, the effect is total in a way conventional Stone Rain effects never manage; where it is no, the scalpel has nothing to cut.

Exile target nonbasic land. Search its controller's graveyard, hand, and library for all cards with the same name as that land and exile them. Then that player shuffles.
