Sower of Temptation

The defining move is attaching control magic to a creature instead of an enchantment. Auras like Control Magic and Mind Control share a structural weakness: kill the stolen creature and the Aura goes to the graveyard with it, so the only way to undo the theft is to answer a permanent that has already done its damage. Sower of Temptation rewrites the exchange. The 2/2 body stays behind when the loaned creature dies, and the theft only unravels if the Faerie itself is removed, which means the opponent's natural answer is no longer "kill what was taken" but "kill the small flier holding the leash." That single change shifts who chooses the engagement. Let the Sower live and you keep their best creature plus a flier on top of it; trade for the Sower and they have spent a card and a turn to recover a creature that was theirs to begin with, while you have already gotten a turn or more of use out of it. The flying is doing quiet work: it keeps the body a relevant clock even when the stolen creature is a ground-stalling blocker you took precisely to flip the race. Steal-on-a-stick has been printed many times since this kind of effect first appeared, but most versions either price the body too high or return the creature on too gentle a condition. This one binds the reward to a body cheap enough to commit early and exposed enough to make the opponent's instinctive answer the move you wanted from them.
