Exile, not destruction, is the whole point in a gear-heavy environment where the dead body keeps coming back dressed for war. Where most white removal of its era handed the creature to the graveyard and left its swords lying on the battlefield to be re-suited, this one tucks the attacker and every Equipment strapped to it cleanly out of the game in a single resolution. That all-Equipment rider is the design tell: it answers the entire investment, the fattened single threat wearing a stack of swords, rather than killing the body and inviting the opponent to dress up the next one. Without the clause, exiling a creature would leave its Equipment behind, unattached, free to be re-equipped; the explicit "all Equipment attached to it" is what makes this a package-level answer instead of a body-level one. The cost is the friction. It only catches a creature that is already attacking, so it is reactive by construction, a combat beat rather than a clean answer you hold up on your own turn, and you cannot point it at the dormant threat sitting back on defense. Five mana at instant speed for a conditional, combat-only exile is a steep rate by any standard, and the card never escaped the gravity of the environment that minted it. Strip away the Equipment density and the rider does nothing; what remains is an overpriced, situational exile that has to be paid in full to do its narrow job.
