Snaremaster Sprite
A Faerie tempo tool that packages a one-mana flier with an optional two-mana tax to blank an opponent's blocker or attacker for two turns. The stun counter is the interesting piece: this is a tap effect with staying power, since the creature stays down through its controller's next untap step before shaking free. That converts a fleeting instant of tapping into a genuine two-turn window, closer to a soft removal spell than a combat trick. The optional payment is what keeps the body cheap and honest: cast it for a single blue when you just want an evasive one-drop early, or hold the extra mana to neutralize the biggest threat across the table when the game demands it. The trigger uses reflexive templating (a triggered ability whose own resolution creates a second trigger when you pay), so the tap and stun happen as a separate effect on the stack rather than folding into the enters trigger directly, which matters for how it stacks and can be responded to. It is a modest card doing precise work: an evasive clock that also buys a turn of breathing room, priced so the tempo swing never comes free.
