The two halves of this design point at the same table: feed the sacrifice engine, then get paid when the fed creatures die. The activated ability turns any spare body into a permanent buff by pinning a +1/+1 counter, which matters less for the growing 3/3 than for the trigger it sets up. Once counters are floating on your board, every counter-bearing creature that dies replaces itself with a card, including the ones you just sacrificed to grow this one. That circularity is the whole point: sacrifice a creature you dressed in a counter, draw off its death, and the loop keeps the cards flowing as long as you have fodder and mana. What keeps it from spiraling is the cost structure: each activation asks for both mana and a creature, so the engine burns through resources at exactly the rate it refills them, and the only creature it can enlarge is itself unless you have another counter source in play. It reads like an aristocrats payoff and a counters payoff stapled together, and it works best where those two subthemes already overlap: a board built on small sacrificial bodies that you can afford to dress up and throw away. Alone it is a slow, grinding value creature; surrounded by the right fodder and outside counter sources, it becomes the draw engine a black attrition deck is usually missing.
