Black rarely gets to be the aggressive lord: that job usually goes to red or white, whose creature-type anthems have decades of precedent. Here black takes the role by leaning on the color's most natural resource, the graveyard. The anthem is narrow by construction, keyed to artifact creatures rather than a broad tribe, and a mono-black artifact aggro shell is built to exploit exactly that narrowness; the shared menace it hands out matters more than the single point of power, because a board that all evades one blocker converts a stalled attack into lethal in a way a raw stat bump never could. What sets this apart from a static lord is the recursion clause. Unearth means it is not a one-shot investment you protect at all costs; it is a resource you spend, get killed, and buy back for a fresh alpha strike with haste, the anthem coming online again the moment it returns. The exile-at-end-step rider is the price for that: the buyback is a single explosive turn, not a permanent reinstallation, which keeps the board from snowballing past recovery. That pairing (a team-wide evasion enabler that also happens to be its own graveyard-based finisher) is the whole design, and it reframes the lord slot as something you can afford to throw into combat rather than hide behind.
