Fear, recast in red as a color-pie experiment. Black's signature evasion has always been written as the negative space of "can't be blocked except by," and this is what that template looks like when you swap the exempted colors: only artifact creatures and red creatures are eligible to block. In practice that exemption is close to empty, since artifact creatures are rare in most decks and the red blockers it allows are mostly a problem in a mirror. The design is doing two things at once: proving that black's keyword translates cleanly onto red's slot of the wheel, and quietly noting why red rarely keeps it. Red's idea of getting damage through is meant to be trample, sheer speed, and burning blockers out of the way, not the inevitability of a beater that simply cannot be stopped. Handing red a near-guaranteed connection every turn is a deliberate trespass, which is the whole premise of a parallel-world design that runs the color pie a different way and watches what falls out. The body is plain and the cost is honest for the era, so the whole card rides on that single evasion clause: a goblin built to land combat damage, turn after turn, in a color that was never supposed to own a reliable way past the front line.
