Simian Brawler
The pump ability here trades a card in hand for a swing in combat, but the resource it spends is exactly the one a midrange green deck least wants to part with: lands. A 3/3 body that grows by discarding lands is a bet that the late game arrives with a flooded hand, where those extra lands are dead weight anyway and converting them into combat math is pure upside. An activated ability free of mana cost but not of opportunity cost, sized so it only pays off once the draw step has stopped helping you. There is no ceiling on the pump beyond the lands you hold, which makes the card a flood-sink in the oldest sense: a way to flush surplus resources into the only axis still mattering. It is a plainly built creature, common-rarity green beef with a discard outlet stapled on, the sort of design that asks nothing of the rest of your deck and gives back only as much as your flood does.
