Silverfur Partisan
The clever thing here is that it taxes a narrow band of interaction rather than rewarding cooperation: the moment an opponent's instant or sorcery targets one of your Wolves or Werewolves, you bank a 2/2 token before that spell resolves, so killing the body still leaves you up a creature. The trigger fires on the targeting itself, not on resolution, which means even a fully countered or fizzled spell pays the tax as long as the target was legal when the spell was announced. The line in the oracle text matters: it has to be an instant or sorcery. Aura-based removal like Pacifism or Dead Weight also targets on the stack, but Auras are not instants or sorceries, so they slip a Wolf under the engine without feeding it. The trigger does not care whose spell does the pointing, either; your own pump and protection effects aimed at your tribe spit out Wolves just the same, converting a combat trick into a two-for-one whenever the deck leans on the tribe. That redirection of value is the whole design conceit, and it folds neatly into a tribe whose werewolf members spend half the game flickering between faces. The trample on a small green body is incidental. The Partisan is built to be the reason an opponent hesitates before pointing the burn spell that would otherwise be a clean answer, and to make that hesitation correct.
