Most token engines produce on a fixed schedule: an upkeep trigger, an end-step trigger, a fixed count per turn. This one ties the rate of production to the size of the swing, which turns a linear generator into a compounding one. Damage a Saproling pushes through converts into fresh Saprolings, and because the card is itself a Saproling, it feeds its own loop the moment it connects. A single unblocked point becomes a token; a board that already got wide crashes in for a much wider one on the next turn, and each cycle steepens the following cycle's multiplication. Trample lives on the source alone, not on the tokens: a bare 1/1 Saproling has no excess damage to assign over a blocker, so the payoff on a stalled board comes from getting bodies through unblocked rather than from overflow. The real accelerant is anything that grants power and trample together (an Overrun-style pump, a keyword handout that reaches the whole team), since that converts blocked damage into countable overflow and cashes the board out all at once. What restrains the whole thing is the fragility at the top: a 1/1 folds to any spot removal or a stray ping, and because the feedback loop scales with how much a board has already grown, an early kill denies the entire exponential curve before it can start. The lineage runs through the Thallids and Saproling lords green and black have printed over the years, but those made tokens on a clock; this one makes them at the speed of a connecting attack.
