Shipwreck Moray
A 0/5 body that walks in with four energy counters already in the tank, though nothing binds its activation to that starting stock: any energy in the pool, from any source, feeds the same +2/-2. The activation is the whole design. Each point spent trades two toughness for two power, so a Fish that begins as an immovable wall can convert itself, in two-step increments, into an attacker. Spend once and it is a 2/3; spend all four of its own counters and the arithmetic collapses, since a 0/5 pushed the full distance is an 8/-3 that never resolves as a body. The self-inflicted nature of the modifier is what keeps the trade fair: the +2/-2 aims only at itself, never at the opposing board, so every point of pressure it generates is subtracted from its own survivability. It cannot refill the pool on its own, which caps its independent output; the more energy elsewhere in the deck, the more times it can flip between roles, but on its four counters alone the ceiling is fixed. No evasion comes attached, so the pumped body still has to win combat or swing into open air the ordinary way. It reads as pure defense and plays as a self-cannibalizing attrition piece that decides, one activation at a time, whether to hold the ground in front of it or spend part of itself to take a swing.
