Shimmer Dragon
A blue Dragon that pays rent in a color that rarely gets to keep one. The 5/6 flying body is the reward for building around artifacts, but the two clauses stapled to it are the real design: hexproof gated behind four artifacts, and a card-draw engine that costs no mana, only the tapping of two untapped artifacts. That second ability is the load-bearing one. Blue has always had draw, but draw that runs on a resource you were already deploying (mana rocks, equipment, servos, tokens) turns a board full of trinkets into a machine gun of cantrips. The tap cost is the discipline: each activation drains two artifacts of whatever else they might have done that turn, so the ability rewards a wide artifact base rather than a fragile one, and it competes with the artifacts you also want tapping for mana. The hexproof clause solves the standing problem with any build-around finisher, which is that it dies to the first removal spell the moment you commit to it; four artifacts is a threshold an artifact deck clears without trying, so the protection arrives exactly when the payoff does. Put together, it is a Dragon that asks you to flood the board with cheap artifacts and then converts that flood into flight, card advantage, and near-immunity, all from a single six-drop.
