Sewn-Eye Drake
A 3/1 with flying and haste is a creature built to deal its damage exactly once, on the turn it lands, before the opponent draws a blocker or finds a way to point removal at one point of toughness. That fragility is the whole bargain: the body trades durability for immediate reach, stapling evasion and a free attack onto a clock that closes a game in a hurry. The Zombie Drake typeline is flavor with no mechanical hook behind it; there is no death trigger, no graveyard payoff, no aristocrat synergy lurking in the type. What the card actually offers is a fast flyer in colors that rarely get one this cheap, and the cost is where it earns its keep. Black is the only color this creature truly demands; the hybrid blue-or-red slot lets a black-based deck round out the cost with whichever allied color its manabase already wants. The multicolor frame reads as a strict three-color commitment, but the manabase only has to support one fixed color plus a choice between two, which widens the pool of decks that can field the same aggressive threat without bending their mana to do it.
