Sergeant John Benton

Legendary Creature — Human Soldier1 generic manaGreen manaWhite mana

Symmetrical card draw is one of the game's oldest devil's bargains, and the interesting move here is welding it to the attack step. Most cards that fill both players' hands (Howling Mine, Temple Bell, Font of Mythos) hand out the same number of cards to both sides regardless of board state, on an automatic upkeep clock nobody controls. Share Intelligence ties the draw to combat damage, which quietly flips the symmetry: the attacker chooses when it happens, chooses whether it happens at all, and controls the size of the swing by controlling the size of the hit. A 2/4 with trample and haste is not going to connect for six early, but it also does not have to; the ability scales with whatever you can push through, and every point of pump or evasion widens the draw for both players. The player who built the board decides whether feeding the opponent two, three, or five cards is worth what it buys them, which is the real tension: you are advancing an opponent's game plan in order to advance your own faster. The green-white pairing is the tell. This is a Group Hug effect dressed as a beater, a card that wants a table where refilling the damaged player's hand is a tempo you can outrace rather than a mistake you regret.
