Sedge Sliver
Most Sliver lords hand out one thing to everybody: a keyword, a fixed pump, a single shared cost. This one bolts on two abilities of different shapes, and the split is the design. The first is a conditional buff that keys off controlling a Swamp, which quietly drags a tribe of one-color creatures toward a black manabase even though the lord itself reads red. The second is a regeneration grant that asks only for black mana, not a Swamp, so a board of Slivers can survive a sweeper or chump all day for one black per body regardless of which lands are out. The two halves point at the same color from different angles: one wants the Swamp on the battlefield, the other just wants access to black, and together they make the splash both a requirement and a payoff. Worth being precise about the grant, too: it reads "All Sliver creatures" and "All Slivers," not yours alone, so an opposing Sliver deck running its own Swamps gets the size bonus and the regeneration shield right back, a quirk the tribe has carried since its lords first started broadcasting to both sides of the table. The effect stacks across copies, each one adding another +1/+1 condition and another regeneration grant for the whole tribe. The 2/2 body is incidental; the value is entirely in what it hands the team and in the color commitment it asks in return.
