Sea Troll
A regeneration ability gated behind the most implausible condition in the game: this troll only shrugs off death if it spent the turn in combat with a blue creature, specifically. Trolls regenerate; that part is genre-standard, the same self-healing that defines the creature type from Sedge Troll onward. The constraint is the design joke. Blue is the color least likely to field a creature worth blocking or blocking with, and you control your own side, so the regeneration is only reliably "on" in a blue mirror where both pilots happen to be running troll-blockers. The clause behaves more like a flavor gesture than a balancing valve, a holdover from an era still feeling out how much friction an ability could carry before it stopped being an ability at all. The 2/1 body underneath is fragile enough that regeneration would matter if you could ever turn it on, which is the whole trap: the clause that makes the troll survivable is the clause you can almost never satisfy. It is a fossil of mid-90s set design, when conditional text was sometimes written for color-pie poetry rather than playability, and the condition swallowed the card whole.
