Artifact2 generic mana

Built around the one number every other card in your deck is trying to stay under: the seven-card maximum that triggers cleanup-step discard. Most decks treat seven as a ceiling to bleed off, dumping spells before the discard tax hits; this inverts that, turning a glutted hand into repeatable card advantage. The wrinkle is where the check happens. You can tap and pay any time you like, with any number of cards in hand, but the seven-card condition is read on resolution to decide whether you actually draw. Activate while flooded and you draw, which pushes you further past the line rather than toward it; spend your hand down below seven and the ability still fires, it just whiffs, doing nothing until you refill. That inversion is the whole design. It rewards hoarding over deploying, the opposite of what most game plans want, and it leans toward effects that lift the maximum hand size or toward grindy shells that simply never run out of cards to hold. Two mana per card is a steep, slow rate, and the gate guarantees the artifact only spins when you are already swimming in cards, never when you are starved and most want the help. This is colorless card advantage from an era when drawing off an artifact came with hard strings attached, and here the string is your own hand size working against the way you would normally empty it.
