Creature — Human Wizard4 generic manaBlue mana

The body is incidental; the entry trigger is the whole card, and it points at a corner of the graveyard most recursion ignores. Where Gravedigger and its lineage rebuy creatures, this returns an instant, a different deckbuilding axis entirely. Instants are the cards a control deck most wants back: the counterspell it already spent, the removal it traded away, the burn it cast to survive. Pinning the recursion to a creature means the loop has a clock attached, and the modest body can be flickered or rebought to return the same instant to your hand again and again. The design tension is that the rate only works when the instant you are recovering is worth more than five mana of dead stats: a one-mana counter rarely clears that bar, but a high-impact instant or a recurring engine piece does. It is a value creature built for a slower world than the one it was printed into, where a creature that arrives this late and hands you back a spell asks the deck to be doing something with the loop rather than racing. The trigger's narrowness (instants only, not sorceries, not noncreature spells broadly) is what keeps it honest: a specialist's recursion piece, not a universal toolbox.
