Scavenging Harpy

Creature — Harpy2 generic manaBlack mana

Graveyard hate usually asks you to spend a card slot on a spell that does nothing to the board: Tormod's Crypt, Nihil Spellbomb, Relic of Progenitus. This bolts a single point of exile onto an evasive body instead, letting the answer ride along with a creature you were already happy to play. The exile is narrow (one card, on entry, from an opponent's yard) so it is not a wrench thrown into a recursion engine the way a full-graveyard sweep is; it is a scalpel aimed at the single reanimation target, the flashback spell, the escape payoff you most need gone. Flying keeps the 2/1 relevant after the trigger has resolved, which is the whole pitch: a graveyard-hate card that stays useful once the graveyard threat is dealt with. What it trades on is the mismatch between fragile body and small effect, so the card lives or dies on whether a maindeckable, evasive clock is worth the opportunity cost against decks where the graveyard interaction rarely comes up. It represents the recurring attempt to make black's incidental graveyard hate main-deckable rather than relegated to reactive slots, tucking a hosing effect behind a fair creature so you never have to draw a dead card.
