Scarwood Treefolk

Creature — Treefolk3 generic manaGreen mana

A 3/5 body for four mana is a perfectly serviceable wall, and that is exactly why the entering-tapped clause exists: the toughness wants to be a roadblock, so the design taxes its arrival. You buy the defensive rate by surrendering the first block it could have made, a small concession on a creature that was never going to swing into anything anyway. This is a deliberately old-school throttle, the kind of drawback green commons carried in the game's earliest years, before stats-per-mana inflation made vanilla bodies cheaper and more abundant. The card is a callback to that era of design: a plain Treefolk wall whose only printed text is the cost-of-doing-business attached to its size. There is nothing to build around and nothing to unpack. It is fixing for a green creature curve at common rarity, a body that holds the ground floor against early aggression and, with five toughness, survives most of the small burn and combat tricks aimed at it. The tapped-on-entry line is the entire negotiation, and the negotiation is modest.
