Scale Blessing
An instant-speed counters payoff that asks you to have done the homework before you cast it. The bolster half seeds a single counter on your weakest body, but the back half is the real engine: every creature you already have carrying a +1/+1 counter gets another. That dependency is the whole tension. Fire it across a board of counter-bearing bodies and the payout compounds per creature; drop it onto one fresh threat and you get bolster's seed plus one doubling stacked into two counters, a four-mana trickle rather than a team-wide surge. This is a "go-wide, then pump" white effect, but it deliberately narrows the target from raw creature count to prior counter investment, which makes it a top-end payoff for outlast shells, counter-scattering support engines, and anything that spreads +1/+1 counters across the team before it resolves. The instant timing is the quiet leverage, and bolster's design sharpens it: because bolster instructs rather than targets, the seed lands on a hexproof or shroud creature of your own, and the whole spell resolves at instant speed. Hold it until blocks are declared or fire it end-of-turn, and a stalled counter-heavy standoff turns lethal without ever tipping your hand on your own turn.
