Savor the Moment

Three mana for an extra turn looks like a bargain until you reach the second line, and that second line is the entire design. Skipping the untap step of the bonus turn means everything you tapped this turn stays tapped through the next: no untapped lands, no untapped creatures, no fresh mana to spend. The extra turn is real but bankrupt. You get a draw step, an attack with whatever was already untapped, and whatever you can fund from lands you held back this turn. The discount on the front end is paid for by a turn that arrives mostly empty. That constraint reframes how the card wants to be built. It rewards permanents indifferent to being tapped: planeswalkers that tick up without mana, enchantments and creatures whose value lives on triggers rather than activations, engines that profit from a second draw step and a second set of triggers instead of a doubled mana base. As a tempo extra-turn spell it underperforms the costlier members of its family that let you untap and go again. As a way to chain card advantage and stack proliferate or upkeep triggers, the missing untap step barely registers, because the value was never coming from mana in the first place. The deckbuilding question it poses is sharper than its rate suggests: not "what do I do with another turn," but "what do I do with another turn while everything is still spent."
