Saprazzan Cove

Land

Mana banking made literal: every turn you spend charging this land is a turn it does nothing else, and the payoff arrives only when you cash out. Where a normal land trades one tap for one mana every turn, this one asks you to forgo the mana now, stockpiling storage counters until a single later tap releases all of them at once. That is the whole design: a battery that loses tempo every turn it charges and returns it in a burst, useful only when you have a specific turn you need to spike past your land count. The cycle ran across all five colors in Mercadian Masques, each tied to a faction land, and this is the blue member, built for the deck that wants a sudden flood of mana for a big counterspell, a fat bounce, or a draw spell that scales with mana spent. The friction is real and intentional. It enters tapped, so the first turn it is on the battlefield is dead; the charge tap competes with everything else you might do with the land that turn; and because the entire stockpile lives in one permanent, any effect that removes the land takes the whole reserve with it, turning every turn of saving into nothing. The reward has to be worth that concentration of risk, which is why these lands lived and died with the question of what, exactly, you planned to dump the mana into.
