Saprazzan Breaker

Creature — Beast4 generic manaBlue mana

An evasion engine powered by gambling with your own top card, and one of the stranger places early design tried to make self-mill a resource rather than a clock against you. The activation mills you, and only a land turns the creature unblockable for the turn, which means every point of damage costs both mana and a wager on what sits on top. The tension is real but pointed the wrong way: you are spending mana to dig past lands at the precise moment you would rather be drawing spells, and a 3/3 that needs a land flip to connect asks a lot of a five-mana investment. It reads like an attempt to reward deck knowledge (the player tracking what is on top can time activations) without giving the payoff enough teeth to matter. It also gestures at a self-mill design language Wizards would return to far more profitably once graveyards became a place worth feeding; here the mill is pure cost, paid for marginal evasion. What survives is a curiosity from a time still working out that grinding your own library ought to buy you something sturdier than a coin-flip swing.
