Sandsteppe War Riders
The bolster trigger keys off a resource green almost never manufactures on its own: differently named artifact tokens. That single word "differently" is the whole engineering problem. Ten Treasure count as one; a Treasure, a Clue, a Food, and a Blood count as four, so the payoff tracks the breadth of your token engine, not its raw volume. It is a green top-end that quietly demands an artifact-fabrication shell around it, an assignment that runs against the color's grain and drags the builder toward the artifact-happy corners of the pie. The bolster compounds the demand: because it heaps every counter onto the single creature with the least toughness, the payload lands wherever your board is weakest, so a wide, uneven battlefield turns each combat step into a lopsided pump on some incidental token. That is also the design's honest catch. The trample lives on the 4/4 body, not on whatever receives the counters, so the mass and the evasion frequently end up on different creatures unless you deliberately keep the War Riders the smallest thing you control. Read as a whole, the card converts deck diversity into raw counter mass one combat at a time; where those counters land, and whether they land somewhere that can actually push damage through, is the puzzle the builder is left to solve.
