Sanctum Gargoyle
White's contribution to artifact-matters decks rarely gets the spotlight, but this body is the color's most durable way to reclaim a broken Equipment, a key mana rock, or a removed combo piece. The flying 2/3 is incidental; the value is in the retrieval clause, which fishes any artifact card out of the graveyard back to your hand the moment the creature lands. Because the trigger fires on entry rather than as an activated ability, blink and flicker effects turn one Gargoyle into a repeatable artifact engine, and any sacrifice loop that recurs the creature recurs the retrieval along with it. The target is broad on purpose: it does not care what the artifact costs or does, only that it sits in the yard, which makes the card a generic toolbox piece rather than a build-around. That generality is also its ceiling. The hook is buried on a four-mana creature with a defensive body, so it only earns its slot once you are already playing enough artifacts to feed it; cast into an empty yard, it is a flying blocker and nothing more. This is white recursion aimed at a permanent type rather than at creatures broadly, doing for artifacts what the color's other color-pie tools do for enchantments or lands: a clean, in-wheelhouse way to buy back a tool. Note the limit baked into the wording, though: it returns the artifact to hand rather than the battlefield, so you pay for the thing twice.
