Green has rarely had a cleaner rate on a spell that gains life and promises fixing at once, and the catch sits in the fine print: the card doesn't actually ramp yet. What one green buys is deferred fixing, a Lander token that costs two more mana and a tap to cash in, which makes this two payments rather than one immediate acceleration. That structure is the whole point. It smooths a hand that has the colors but not the land, feeds two life into whatever cares about the number, and leaves behind an artifact body for anything that counts or sacrifices them. The delay keeps the front end honest; a one-mana spell that put an untapped basic onto the battlefield would be a far stronger, differently balanced card, so the Lander splits the difference by making you pay again. Read against the older green fixing tradition, this sits closer to the search-a-basic effects that arrive tapped than to the mana dorks that produce immediately: it trades speed for the guarantee that the land is exactly the color you need and survives a board wipe. A spell that does three small jobs at once, none of them urgently, is a workhorse rather than a headliner, and it is built to be exactly that.
