Saber Ants
Most green blockers want to walk away from combat with their toughness intact; this one turns getting hit into a payout. Block a 6/6 and you hand yourself six 1/1 Insects, converting what should have been a profitable attack into a one-for-many trade. The 2/3 body is filler, but the trigger rewrites the math for whoever swings into it: an attacker has to weigh whether the creature trades up by dying loaded with tokens, and a burn or fight spell pays the same tax. The wrinkle is that the trigger counts damage from a single instance, so the controller's reward scales with how much gets dumped on at once. A deathtouch source or a one-point ping yields almost nothing; a fat untrampled attacker forced to commit its full power to the block hands over a full swarm. Trample is the clean way out, since an attacker need only assign lethal (here, three) and send the rest at the player, holding the token count down. That makes it a deterrent priced on the opponent's choices rather than its own stats: the creature's value is set entirely by how the table decides to interact with it. And the pile of bodies it leaves behind is exactly the raw material green's go-wide payoffs and sacrifice engines were built to convert, so even a "successful" attack into it can feed the defender's next turn.
