Ruthless Negotiation

SorceryBlack mana

Exile instead of discard is the quiet upgrade black hand disruption has drifted toward over the years: a card that never touches the graveyard can't be flashed back, reanimated, or cast from where it lands, so the target simply loses access rather than parking a resource somewhere retrievable. This buys that precision for a single black mana. The concession that pays for the rate lives in two places. First, the opponent chooses the card that leaves, so the front half is attrition, not surgery: they shed their least useful card and keep the threat you actually feared. Second, the draw is walled off behind the graveyard cast, so a fresh cast is a flat one-for-one, and only the flashback turns the trade into a net card ahead (they've lost two to your one spell, one of which returned). That two-stage structure converts a plain hand-stripper into a slow-burn engine: the first cast is early attrition, the second a delayed refill at a much steeper price, with the flashback's own exile clause retiring the spell after its encore. It rewards patience, sitting on the graveyard copy until the mana is free and treating the yard as a second card held in reserve rather than a resource to empty at once.
