The genius here is in the word "each." Most sacrifice-payoff burn turns a creature's power into a targeted bolt; this one converts it into a symmetrical board sweep that also hits both players. You feed it your biggest attacker and the table takes a uniform faceful of damage, ground creatures die in a wave, and your own life total sits on the chopping block right alongside everyone else's. That symmetry is what governs the rate: there is no clean line where you cash in a fat creature and walk away untouched, because the spell refuses to distinguish friend from foe (the flying clause is the only seam, sparing your airforce and theirs). The build-around tension lives in that self-inflicted damage. Pump the sacrificed creature's power high enough to matter and you are setting your own life total against the spell too, so the version that turns it into a kill is one where your opponents are already lower than you, not one where you can comfortably absorb the hit. Timing is the other governor: as a sorcery you cannot ambush a combat step with it or respond to a removal spell by cashing the dying creature in for damage, so the whole plan has to be assembled on your own turn with the board you brought. Sacrifice outlet, sweeper, and reach spell folded into one card, and the arithmetic it demands (a power high enough to matter, a life total you can survive spending) is what makes it a puzzle rather than a freebie.
