Runic Repetition

Sorcery2 generic manaBlue mana

Flashback was built as a one-shot: a spell you cast from the graveyard once, then exile, the exile clause being the whole point of letting graveyards function as a resource without spiraling into infinity. This card breaks that contract by reaching into the exile zone and pulling the spent card back to hand, where you can cast it again from your hand for its normal cost. The restriction is narrow by design: the target must be a flashback card you own, sitting in exile, which means the spell does nothing until you have already cashed in a flashback and want a second helping. That narrowness is also its appeal. A recursion loop with the right spell, a renewable source of card advantage from a single graveyard staple, or simply a way to wring a second use out of an expensive flashback bomb. The design is unusually surgical about what it can target: not any exiled card, not any card you own in any zone, but specifically the flashback-tagged remnant the mechanic was supposed to leave behind for good. It is a rules-text answer to a rules-text limitation, and it only matters in a deck deliberately stocked with flashback spells worth retrieving.
