The modularity is the whole idea, and it comes at a price you can feel in the mana cost. Blue's cheaper tempo tools each pick a lane: a straight bounce sends one thing to hand, a tuck spell hides a permanent in the library where it is harder to recast next turn. This one lets you buy both effects at once, so at six mana you can answer two separate threats in a single instant, sending one to a library and another to a hand. The modes work best pointed at different targets, since they resolve in order: choose both on the same permanent and the tuck moves it first, leaving the bounce with nothing to grab. The tuck mode is the meaner half: putting a permanent on top costs its owner a draw, and putting it on the bottom is close to permanent removal for anything that cannot be reshuffled or tutored back. That top-or-bottom choice belongs to the owner, not the caster, which is the concession that keeps a hard-answer instant from being purely one-sided. What you are paying for is flexibility rather than efficiency: two clean, unconditional answers stapled together at instant speed, with no restriction on what they can hit beyond the nonland clause. Cheaper spells will always beat it on rate, but few of them let you handle two problems, in two different ways, on the same turn.
