Sliver typal has a structural ceiling: your payoffs (Sliver Overlord, Sliver Queen, the whole horde of shared-keyword lords) only reach cards that are already Slivers. This inverts that logic. The chosen creature type lands on your Slivers and your nontoken creatures, and it reaches further than the battlefield: creature spells you control on the stack, plus creature cards you own in hand, library, and graveyard, all count as the chosen type too. So a Muscle Sliver can pump your commander, and a tribal tutor can dig for a card that was never a Sliver in its life. That single-type choice is the whole gambit, and it cuts both directions: unify your non-Slivers under a Sliver banner, or drag your Slivers into an unrelated tribe to catch a foreign payoff. The token maker is deliberately plain, a colorless 1/1 with no keyword of its own, generic enough to inherit whatever the chosen type demands, so the ability seeds a board your other cards then transform. Note the seam the design leaves open: a non-Sliver token you make elsewhere does not gain the type, so the trick rewards hardcast bodies and native Sliver tokens over go-wide token strategies. Its WUBRG cost gates the card to decks that can assemble all five colors, though it rarely asks for more once it resolves. This is a toolbox for typal synergy without commitment to any one tribe.
