Rowan, Fearless Sparkmage
This is the aggressive half of a battle-planeswalker pairing, the Rowan built for red, and every one of her three abilities points forward. The +1 is a combat pump that trades the usual planeswalker instinct (protect yourself, stall the board) for pushing a single attacker through: +3/+0 with first strike turns a modest creature into a threat that wins its fight and survives to swing again. The minus-2 is the closest she comes to defense, and even that is offensive-minded: a point of damage to two creatures paired with a can't-block clause is less a removal spell than a way to clear a lane for the swing. The ultimate is the payoff the rest of the kit builds toward, a one-turn seizure in the Insurrection tradition that untaps everything and hands out haste, the kind of loyalty sink that ends games rather than grinding them out. What is notable in the design is how little she asks the board to do on her behalf; unlike planeswalkers whose plus abilities generate blockers or draw cards to buy time, Rowan spends her loyalty entirely on the creatures already in play, rewarding a developed aggressive board and punishing an empty one. She converts a tempo lead into lethal rather than clawing back from behind, which makes her a strange planeswalker: one with no plan for the games she is losing.
