Enchantment — Aura2 generic manaBlue mana

The oldest tax in blue's Aura math, paid up front. Auras carry a structural liability that has dogged them since the earliest sets: the two-for-one you eat when the creature dies with your card still stapled to it. This design settles that debt on entry. Once the Aura resolves, the loot trigger fires immediately (draw two, then discard one), so even if the enchanted creature is removed the following turn, the card advantage is already banked. There is a real window it does not cover: if the targeted creature is killed in response to the Aura on the stack, the spell has no legal target, fizzles, and the trigger never happens, so you eat the tempo loss without the refund. Resolution, not casting, is what makes it whole. The looting clause does the filtering work too: drawing first and discarding second converts raw quantity into card selection, so you are never left holding dead cards. What remains is the evasion package, a modest +1/+1 and flying, and the modesty is deliberate. The buff is a rider on a draw spell, not a draw spell bolted onto a combat trick. That inversion is the whole point. Where most Auras ask you to commit to a creature and pray, this one commits nothing that resolution does not immediately refund, then hands you an evasive threat as interest on a risk you barely took.
