Rosnakht, Heir of Rohgahh
The Kobold payoff four decades in the making. Kobolds of Kher Keep have existed since the earliest days as a curiosity: zero-mana 0/1 red bodies known mostly for feeding Fireball math and breaking cost-reduction loops. Here that lineage finally gets a legend that is also its own token factory. The Heroic trigger turns any spell aimed at this Kobold into another Kobold, so the same combat trick or protection spell that keeps it alive also widens the board. Those tokens are vanilla 0/1s, dead weight in a vacuum; the engine is the Battle cry on the creature itself, which pumps every other attacker by +1/+0 whenever it swings. The tokens do not grant the buff, they receive it, so the whole plan is to build width with Heroic and then convert that width into damage by attacking alongside a creature that literally cannot deal it. The tension in the design is that the body is a 0/1 for a single red mana, a creature that cannot fight, cannot block profitably, and dies to a stiff breeze. Everything is contingent: you spend spells targeting it to grow the swarm, then commit that swarm to the red zone before either ability pays. That fragility is the price for a one-drop that rewards a full deck of pump, protection, and cheap targeted spells. A rare legend built to turn a decades-old joke of a token into an actual engine.
