A one-mana Equipment that arrives pre-attached is doing something unusual: it converts a green mana directly into +2/+1 the moment it hits the battlefield, no equip cost paid, which is a rate that would be reckless without a leash on it. The leash is the trigger's fine print. That free attachment only fires on a non-Human creature you control, which turns an efficient aggressive tool into a targeted tribal payoff aimed at the monstrous, faerie, and beastly side of a creature-type divide rather than a generic beatdown pile. The other half of the balance is the equip cost. Five mana to re-attach is deliberately brutal: once the equipped creature dies or you want to shift the buff, relocation is far too expensive to bother, so the card demands you pick your target correctly the first time and leave it there. That split (nearly free to deploy, punishing to move) is what keeps a permanent one-mana stat boost from being oppressive. It rewards commitment over flexibility, an honest trade for the price. What it does, it does cheaply and narrowly: turn a warm non-Human body into a two-power-larger threat, provided you built your board on the correct side of the plane's central split.
