A wide-attack enchantment that minted a token for every unblocked creature would spiral out of control fast; capping the payoff at one Assassin per player damaged keeps the engine linear rather than exponential, so it rewards you for connecting reliably rather than for flooding the board. The nontoken restriction is the other lever, and it points the card at a specific kind of deck: it will not feed on its own tokens, so you cannot loop it into a runaway state by attacking with the Assassins it makes. What it wants is a stable core of real creatures that can push damage through turn after turn, and it pays that out in evasive bodies of its own. Menace on the tokens is the quiet part that matters most: each Assassin demands two blockers, so the board it builds gets progressively harder to profitably block, feeding back into the "did you connect this combat" question the enchantment keeps asking. This is a combat-damage value engine that asks you to be an attacking deck first and a token deck second, with the color pair pushing it toward a grindy, evasive tempo plan rather than a go-wide swarm.
