Sorcery2 generic manaBlack mana

Most black recursion measures the graveyard by body count: how many creatures died, and how much mana or life you will pay to buy some back. This spell asks a different question entirely: what colors did those creatures span? The payout scales with the breadth of your color pie, not the depth of your graveyard, returning up to one creature per color for a flat rate. The trick is that each target must be a distinct card, so a gold creature does not double up to fill two slots at once; instead, it gives you flexibility over which single color slot it satisfies, freeing you to reach for a different body in the other four. To touch the five-card ceiling you need five separate creatures spanning all five colors, which means the ceiling only exists if you built toward it. A mono-black shell gets a strictly worse Raise Dead; a five-color pile pulls back a spread that touches every corner of the color wheel in one sorcery. That inverts the usual reward structure of black card advantage, which pays out on quantity of death rather than diversity of pips, and it quietly functions as a deckbuilding constraint dressed up as a recovery spell. It wants busy wedge and shard piles where the best threats are already multicolored, and where clawing back a gold bomb, a hybrid utility creature, and a splashed off-color body in one cast justifies the black in the manabase. Note the destination: these creatures land in hand, not on the battlefield, so this refuels a grindy game rather than cheating a reanimation payoff.
